You are not alone.
Said Michael Jackson and he was right!
There are so many wonderful charities, support groups, etc waiting to help you. It is so important you reach out to each of these charities that offer support in unique ways with financial aid and/or advice.
It’s essential that you look for support groups to help you on this journey as it can seem at times you are isolated without anyone around you who understands what you are going through. Whether that be your loved ones unable to comprehend what your experience through cancer and chemo, radiology, or a loved one trying to find the right words. Talk and never stop the dialogue between one another.
I even spoke to the TalkSPORT team of White and Jordon on 30th June 2022, during my recovery. They teamed up with Macmillan to encourage men to talk about cancer and seek out help. Ex-footballer Joe Thompson was on with Macmillan’s Cancer Expert Connor Lane joined hosts Simon Jordan and Jim White for this special episode. TalkSPORT were kind enough to send me a recording of when I called in to tell them my story. Which I have attached below. Forewarning; I was very nervous.
